How do I book a venue?
Browse venues, click on one you love, and send an inquiry directly to the owner. They'll respond within 24–48 hours to discuss availability and pricing.
Can I visit a venue before booking?
Absolutely — we encourage it. Message the venue owner through the platform and request a site visit.
Are prices listed on Alora final?
Listed prices are starting rates. Final pricing depends on your date, headcount, and any add-ons. Always confirm the full quote with the venue owner.
What if a venue cancels my booking?
In the rare event a venue cancels, you'll receive a full refund. Contact our support team and we'll help you find an alternative.

Finding and hiring photographers, florists, DJs and more
How do I find a photographer?
Go to Professionals, filter by category and location, and browse portfolios. Send an inquiry directly through the platform.
Are professionals vetted?
All professionals are reviewed before their listing goes live. We verify their contact information and review their portfolio for quality.
What if I'm unhappy with a professional?
Reach out to our support team. We take quality seriously and will investigate any legitimate concerns.

Is my planning data saved?
Planning tools are currently session-based. We're working on cloud-synced saving — sign up for updates.
Can I share my guest list?
Not yet — sharing and collaboration features are on our roadmap.
How accurate is the budget breakdown?
Our default percentages are based on Canadian wedding averages. Adjust them to match your priorities.

How payments work on Alora Weddings
How do payments work?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You pay the venue or professional directly through the platform once you confirm a booking.
What payment methods are accepted?
All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and debit cards are accepted.
Can I get a refund?
Refund policies vary by vendor. Always review the cancellation policy before confirming a booking.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. We never store your card details — all payments are handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.

Passwords, data, and account management
How do I change my password?
Go to Account Settings → Security → Change password. If you signed in with Google, your password is managed by Google.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
What data do you store about me?
We store your email, profile info, saved venues, bookings, and messages. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes! Google sign-in is our primary authentication method. It's fast, secure, and requires no password.
